Blanca Bonet

Film director from Madrid. Since the end of 2021 she has been directing the animation studio Tiwa studio.

Her first short film "Nada es lo que parece, Nada es lo que padece" (2015), has a long tour of festivals and won an honourable mention at the San Francisco Film Award. It was followed by "Klaus'' (2016), a finalist at the Short TV Cannes, and "The afterbirth" (2018), a short film with more than 70 festival selections and 15 awards. In 2019, his documentary Usera- interiores received the pre-production residency at the Cineteca and obtained the creation grant from the City Council for its production in 2021 (currently in post-production). During 2023 and 2024 he made the animated short film "KEENIE 166", subsidised by the ICAA, the Community of Madrid, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo of Tenerife, and winner of the Animario Award in 2023, and is preparing his first feature film, "Obictus", selected in 2023 for the TIFF, Anima Spirit de Trieste (WEMW), VentanaSur, Mecas (Cine por Hacer) and Ventana CineMad.
