Sponsored by UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, the FEJUVES Spanish eSports Team has signed a year marked by good results, thus consolidating the project.

One of the most outstanding milestones of 2024 has come from the Spanish Women's eSports Team for Counter Strike, one of the most recognised and competitive eSports on a global level. The national team achieved third place in Europe and reached the final of the IESF World Championship, held in Riyadh, where they achieved a more than positive result, reaching the Top 8 in the world.

For its part, the Mobile Legend Bang Bang team finished the Global eSports Federation (GEF) European Championship in second place, achieving the runner-up position only behind Italy. Meanwhile, in CS2 Open and PUBGMOBILE, the Spanish team closed the year in the European Top 16.

Participation in social initiatives

These successes have also been accompanied by different social actions and initiatives that have continued to bring the world of eSports closer from different perspectives. One example is the special 8M Women in Gaming and eSports programme, which has been continued during 2024 and which aimed to highlight the role of women in this field. Likewise, in this social field, a special programme has been carried out linked to inclusion and disability in gaming and a decalogue of guidelines and advice has been created to avoid disorders and addictions, a training workshop for municipal youth technicians and a school for parents. All of this is aimed at generating an appropriate and healthy relationship between young people and videogames, ensuring their mental health at all times.

UDIT has also taken part in these social initiatives of FEJUVES, specifically through the participation of David Alonso, director of the University's Videogames and Animation Department, as a speaker at a round table on professional profiles in the entertainment industry, organised in the Madrid municipality of Móstoles.
