More than 30 students of the Multimedia and Graphic Design Degree visit Oporto to participate in a workshop in collaboration with ESAD
As part of the commemoration of the centenary of the death of Franz Kafka, more than 30 students of the Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology have had the opportunity to travel to the Portuguese city of Porto to continue with the workshop developed in collaboration with ESAD, Escola Superior de Arte e Design de Porto, which already began at the University Campus of UDIT.
Coordinated by Renato Seixas, lecturer in the Audiovisual and Graphic Creation Area at UDIT and accompanied by María Gárgoles, lecturer and coordinator of the area, the students worked for a total of 6 weeks in collaboration with ESAD students, with the aim of creating a publishing project that would pay homage to The Metamorphosis, one of the author's most renowned works.
Design studios, art galleries and exhibitions
During the trip, the young people were able to enjoy numerous creative activities focused on design, visiting art galleries and renowned studios such as the Atelier de Eduardo Aires or the design agency This is Pacifica, as well as exploring emblematic places in the city such as the Café Majestic, the Casa de la Música or the Sao Bento train station.
Following the schedule of activities, the students were able to present their work in a final exhibition at ESAD, where they had the opportunity to receive feedback and analysis from leading Portuguese graphic design artists, thus enriching their learning experience.
Finally, the students completed the trip by inaugurating an exhibition event with their creations in one of the city's art galleries, where the public had the opportunity to see and enjoy their work.
