Syllabus

The syllabus of the UDIT Master's Degree in Interior Design consists of 60 ECTS credits and lasts one academic year.

Throughout the master's degree, you will acquire the necessary tools to tackle interior design projectsfrom an integral perspective, from the conceptualisation of the space to its technical execution. This programme will allow you to work with current methodologies in the sector, incorporate 3D modelling tools, visual representation and project management, as well as apply sustainable, ergonomic and functional criteria.

UDIT's Master's Degree in Interior Design is designed to train professionals capable of leading spatial projects from an integral perspective, combining creativity, technology and strategic vision. Unlike other programmes that focus solely on technical or theoretical aspects, this master's degree offers an immersive face-to-face experience, aimed at solving real challenges in contemporary professional contexts.

A comprehensive training in Interior Design

Our programme addresses all the key areas of interior design, preparing you to develop functional, sustainable and emotionally meaningful projects.

Design Methodologies: Learn to conceptualise and develop projects through user-centred approaches, with agile methodologies applied to spatial design.

Representation and Technical Tools: Master advanced drawing, 3D modelling and visualisation techniques, along with digital tools specific to interior design.

Sustainability and Wellbeing: Designs spaces that promote comfort, sustainability and the physical and emotional wellbeing of their users.

Project Management: Acquire skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and lead projects from idea to execution.

Quality System

Provisional timetables and teaching staff may be subject to change. UDIT reserves the right not to offer the degree if it does not have a minimum number of students.

Our offer of our own degrees and continuing education is regulated by article 37 of Royal Decree 822/2021.

Successful completion of these studies leads to the award of a UDIT Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning with 60 ECTS.

  • To access the Master's Degree in Interior Design at UDIT, it is necessary:

    • Have completed a university degree in design, architecture, fine arts or other related disciplines. If you don't already have a degree, we invite you to explore our Interior Design Degree.
    • Have a passion for design and a creative mindset that drives innovation.

    At UDIT, we foster a collaborative and dynamic environment that stimulates critical thinking and creativity.

  • This Master's Degree is preferably aimed at graduates of Higher Artistic Education, graduates of Bachelor's Degrees or University Degrees in Design -both of any speciality-, as well as Graduates or Graduates of other degrees with a sensitivity towards design, more specifically, interior design and decoration.

    Some specific examples are: graduates in Fine Arts, graphic designer, product designer, fashion designer, etc. It is also open to graduates of more technical or applied sciences such as Engineering, Architecture or Technical Architecture, etc. who wish to complement their professional profile with this speciality.

    Anyone who does not have previous knowledge or who comes from studies unrelated to Design can take a free training complement while studying the Master's Degree.


  • After completing the Master in Interior Design, graduates have multiple options for career advancement:

    • Joining design studios: Working in recognised interior design, architecture and decoration firms.
    • Entrepreneurship: Create your own interior design studio and offer personalised services to clients.
    • Teaching and research: Participate in academic or design research projects.
    • Further specialisation: Continue your studies with specific courses or PhDs in related areas.

  • Interior Design is a sector on the rise. This type of profile, capable of modifying spaces to connect with consumers and users, is increasingly in demand. You will be able to specialise in different areas such as retail, catering, housing and furniture. You will also be able to work in renovation, scenography, lighting, window dressing and landscaping.


  • The salary of an interior designer in Spain varies depending on:

    • Experience
    • Location
    • Type of projects

    On average, an interior designer can expect to earn between 25,000 and 40,000 euros per year. Professionals with more experience and an outstanding portfolio of projects can achieve higher salaries, exceeding 50,000 euros per year. In addition, designers who specialise in specific niches or who work in large cities such as Madrid tend to command higher salaries.

  • If you do not have the necessary prior knowledge for the development of the Master in Interior Design , you will have to take the following 6ECTS training complement.

    1.Fundamentals of planimetry - 6 ECTS

    You will be able to define scales and precise measurements of spaces, as well as to use the AutoCad computer programme .

    After assessing the candidate, the Master's director will recommend the need to take this complementary training course.

  • Yes, this Master can be subsidised by FUNDAE. Check with our admissions department for all the details. FUNDAE is a public company that manages the funds destined to the training programmed by the companies that will be able to make effective by means of bonuses in their contributions to the Social Security. They favour the access, by means of subsidies, to free and quality training for all workers.
