Óscar Llano, student of the Degree in Design and Development of Video Games and Virtual Environments, has been nominated as "Best esports coach 2022/2023" at the EB Live Awards.
The EB Live Awards are the annual awards granted by Esports Business Live in recognition of the excellence, work and social activism of professionals and organisations in the Esports industry in Spain.
An event backed by a jury of 80 accredited industry professionals in addition to those of The Academy, who will be responsible for awarding this year 14 categories of the professional environment of esports in Spain. These are:
- Publisher of the Year Award
- Best Streaming Platform Award
- Award for the best partnership agreement
- Award for the best innovative project
- Entrepreneur of the Year Award
- Award for the best specialised esports training
- Esports Team of the Year Award
- Award for the best brand in the sector
- Award for the best competition promoter
- Award to the industry's leading media
- Best Journalist of the Year Award
- Best Player of the Year Award
- Best Coach of the Year Award
- Caster of the year award
In April 2023 UDIT, University of Design and Technology and FEJUVES (Spanish Federation of Gamers of video games and esports) signed a collaboration agreement by which UDIT becomes the official sponsor of the National esports team.
An agreement that is the result of a solid and successful collaboration in which both parties have worked together to develop research projects that highlight the positive aspects of video games and the job opportunities they generate in the industry.
The national awards gala for the esports industry in Spain will take place on 14 July in Tenerife.
