38 students of the Degree in Interior Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology have had the opportunity to travel to the city of Copenhagen, where they have spent a week full of visits to the most prestigious design studios in the city, as well as to the most emblematic museums and places of the Danish capital.

Alejandro Carrasco and Ángela Molina, lecturers on the degree, accompanied the students on their tour of the city.

Organised visits to experience the design of the city at first hand

The students' calendar of activities in Copenhagen began with a guided tour of the renowned Ordrupgaard Museum, where they were able to visit, among other things, the open-air exhibition located in the museum's park. The Design Museum and the Louisiana Museum, considered a masterpiece of modern architecture for its perfect interrelation between building and environment, were other museums that the students had the opportunity to visit.

They also had the opportunity to visit the BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) architecture studio, founded by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, which is currently one of the most renowned firms on the international design scene, responsible for buildings such as the LEGO museum in Billund, the Danish Maritime Museum, the new Google headquarters in the United States and the Tirpitz Museum.

The group's visit agenda was completed with a tour of the historic centre of the city, discovering some of the most outstanding architectural pieces of the Nordic capital, such as Radhuspladsen Town Hall Square, Amagertory and Christiansborg Castle. They were also able to explore some of the city's most renowned sites such as the Dansk Arkitektur Center, designed by the Dutch studio OMA, the Cirkelbroen Bridge by the artist Olafur Eliasson, the National Bank of Denmark and the Royal Library, also known as the Black Diamond.

The famous Little Mermaid, the Citadel Park ('Kastekket'), the Royal Danish Palace 'Amalienborg', the Tivoli Gardens or the Paper Island and the Norreport metro station, both designed by the Danish studio COBE, completed the students' tour.
