EIT Health visits the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) to foster collaboration in health research and innovation

The University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) received representatives of EIT Health at its headquarters in Alcalá, in a strategic meeting organised together with the Vice-Rectorate for Research. The meeting aimed to explore new avenues of cooperation in research, innovation and knowledge transfer projects in the field of health and emerging technologies.

During the visit, the EIT Health team presented the opportunities that the European network offers for universities, research centres and companies in areas such as training, applied research, technology transfer and funding for collaborative projects. The delegation was able to learn first-hand about UDIT's capabilities in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and design applied to the health sector, as well as the infrastructures available to the institution.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice President of UDIT and the Vice President for Research, who stressed the importance of generating international partnerships to consolidate the university as a benchmark in applied research and interdisciplinary innovation.

"The collaboration with EIT Health represents a strategic opportunity to boost knowledge transfer, the internationalisation of our projects and the social impact of the research carried out at UDIT", said José Luis Olazagoitia, Vice-Rector for Research.

The conference concluded by highlighting the importance of strengthening UDIT's spaces, capacities and resources within a broad international network. In this context, the value of the research and teaching work carried out by the university was underlined, and how its integration in European collaboration ecosystems allows the academic, scientific and social impact of its initiatives to be amplified.

With this visit, UDIT reinforces its commitment to place its research and teaching in dialogue with the international community, generating synergies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovation for the benefit of society.
