Researchers from the DESIRe group publish an article on Creativity and Educational Spaces in "The Conversation".
As part of the NEURO_Colab project, UDIT's DESIRe group explores how environments influence human creativity.
Researchers Montserrat Pichel, María Eugenia Josa and María Beltrán, from the DESIRe research group (UDIT) have published an article in the popular science magazine The Conversation, entitled "Why we are more creative in some spaces than in others". The text analyses how the design of physical environments can impact our creative capacity, a key topic within the NEURO_COlab (Neuro-creativity Co-Lab: Building Collaborative Convergence in the Design of Everyday Spaces) research project.
The article explains how elements such as light, colours, furniture and spatial organisation can influence our emotions and, consequently, our creativity. This interdisciplinary approach combines insights from neuroscience, psychology and design, showing how well-designed spaces can enhance innovative thinking and problem solving.
With this publication, DESIRe researchers reinforce UDIT's commitment to applied research and knowledge transfer to society. If you want to go deeper into this topic, you can read the full article here.
