Masterclass Omar Aït-Salem Duque: Applications of intelligent autonomous systems
- Date1 April 2025
- Schedule17:00
The Innovation Hub of UDIT hosted last Tuesday 1 April at 17:00 hours, the visit of Omar Aït-Salem Duque, CEO of IBTICAE.
In his masterclass, "Applications of autonomous intelligent systems: use cases for smart agriculture", organised by the Master in Artificial Intelligence, he explored how the use of unmanned autonomous vehicles has spread in recent years, incorporating in most cases, computer vision systems.
He showed how, in this sense, the application of object detection techniques using deep learning algorithms means a better use of the vehicle's capabilities and an advance towards a greater degree of autonomy in the activities they can perform.
He also explained how the incorporation of autonomous vehicles driven by artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector can radically transform harvesting and harvesting tasks in Spanish fields.
