Modesto Lomba and Paloma Suárez, protagonists of the collaboration between ESNE and Madrid es Moda
ESNE, University of Design and Technology, has collaborated for another year with Madrid is Fashion, an initiative organised by the Association of Fashion Designers of Spain (ACME) and framed within the Madrid Fashion Capital project of the Madrid City Council.A collaboration that, in its February 2023 edition, has taken the form of the organisation of two meetings between designers Modesto Lomba and Paloma Suárez and young talents in Fashion Communication studying at ESNE.During his conference at the University, Modesto Lomba explained how he started in the world of sewing, first as a child and later learning dressmaking as an apprentice in a tailor's shop. He also told the students of the Degree in Fashion Management and Communication of ESNE about the birth of his brand, with his partner, the architect Luis Devota, who was the one who marked the refined and minimalist lines of its origins. In addition, as president of ACME, he stressed the importance of the international level for Spanish fashion and the importance of promoting the work of the great Spanish designers abroad from within the country and the fundamental role played in this regard by the fashion media.
