The echo of the applause at the 82nd edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid still resounds, but for Paula Castañeda the most important sound is still that of the sewing machine that her grandmother taught her to operate in a village in Salamanca. This young fourth-year student of the Degree in Fashion Design at UDIT (University of Design, Innovation and Technology) has seen her creations, inspired by the earth and poetry, paraded on Spain's most prestigious catwalk, a milestone that directly connects her rural roots with the avant-garde of haute couture.
