For the eighth consecutive year, the Mutua Madrileña Foundation has organised #nosdueleatodos, a competition that seeks to raise awareness, prevent and avoid behaviour that could lead to situations of abuse.
"It hurts us all" is aimed at young people from secondary schools, high schools and vocational training centres, as well as universities and postgraduate schools. The proposal consisted of producing an original creative piece in any digital format (video, audio, image or animated presentation) with the intention of raising awareness and prevention against gender violence and rewarding the creative idea over the format of the piece.
"Your sexist comments to me...", is the project of Andrea Torralba, a second-year student of the Degree inProductDesign at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, whose proposal aims to raise awareness of the existing sexism in the use of language.
The first of the posters illustrates how certain comments are an obstacle; in the second poster, the impossibility of moving forward in many situations is represented in a swimming pool in which one of the women must carry on with the weight and effort involved in the actions and comments; in the third poster, a road represents how these types of comments condition decision-making and, finally, the sentence is completed with the verbs of the illustration posters, forming the phrase: "Your sexist comments tire me, paralyse me and condition me, but they do not define me" to show that the fight to eliminate this type of comments continues and that hope must not be lost.
