Julieta de Haro

Presentation

Julieta de Haro is a cultural manager and curator of contemporary art exhibitions. She is an expert on the status of artists and their professionalisation. She holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada. She has a Master's degree in Communication and Art from the Complutense University of Madrid, and is trained in art and thought, the art market, cultural management and protocol in various institutions. She is a lecturer in Cultural Management at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria and founder and director of El Tercero de Velázquez, an innovative space for approaching art and collecting. 

For eleven years she has been director of AVAM (Artistas Visuales Asociados de Madrid) and AVeR (Asociación nacional de artistas visuales - Artistas Visuales en Red) at Matadero Madrid, from where she has promoted cultural projects such as the Sala Extensión AVAM or the production and residency centre Talleres AVAM, among others. 

She has set up international projects with the participation of public and private institutions from different countries, such as the Community of Madrid, Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M), University of Berlin, the Karl Hofer Centre in Berlin, the Spanish Embassy in Berlin, the Instituto Cervantes in Berlin, etc.
