UDIT will organise the 1st International Congress on Design and Innovation on 23 and 24 January 2025.
- Promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Research at UDIT and its Design, Visual Culture and GenderGroup (Genius), it is an online academic conference aimed at teachers, researchers and students .
UDIT will organise the I International Congress on Design and Innovation(CIDINOVA) on 23rd and 24th January with the aim of reinforcing the binomial design and innovation, through the union and intersection of both concepts, since innovation is a fundamental part of design that favours novel and diverse results in which creation, aesthetics, the application of ideas, new technologies and processes and novel solutions are merged and applied in parallel to various disciplines such as culture, education, fashion, or engineering, among other subjects.
This is an academic congress that will be held virtually and is aimed at teachers, researchers and university students. An event that aims to analyze where the new creative processes focused on innovation arise and rethink the traditional processes where the design profession faces challenges in the transition from an industrial to an individual economic model, which emphasizes the need for a research-based design and organizational competence in innovation.
Participation in the CIDINOVA Congress will be virtual and recorded. Proposals may be submitted in Spanish, English, or French (one language only) for both research and case studies.
All communication proposals will be subject to a peer review system.
The papers defended at the congress that are delivered on time and in accordance with the required form and rules will be published (if the authors so wish) as a book chapter in a monograph published by Dykinson or Egregius publishers (at the author's choice for each chapter), prestigious publishers included in the SPI Index in 3rd and 76th position(SPI General Index).
Optionally, one of the chapters may be published by Tirant lo Blanch (1st position in the SPI index).
