UDIT participates in the national project "Metaverso Educativo".
The Metaverso Educativo project, financed through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism's line of support for Innovation Business Agencies (AEI), is already underway.
Led by Smartech Cluster and with the participation of the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT), Futurespace It Solution, REM Experience and 3ipunt, the main objective of this project is the creation of a prototype of an educational metaverse, which will offer real educational content in fundamental areas such as design, construction and manufacturing. It will also feature innovative technologies of virtual and augmented reality environments and virtual assistants, organised in activities within an open and standard Learning Management software, to record the progress and achievements of the students, as well as to personalise and adapt the content to them.
On the part of UDIT, the project is led by Dr. Pablo Nogueira, PI of the UDIT Research Group ECSiT, related to one of its research lines: Digital Technology and Educational Innovation.
The following researchers also participate in the project: David Alonso, Montserrat Pichel, María Beltrán Rodríguez, Rocío Sancho Alambillaga, Tamar Awad Parada, Andrés Arregui Velázquez and Lucía López Cenamor.
