UDIT PARTICIPATES IN MADRID T- PLACE TO BE, A PROJECT PROMOTED BY THE MADRID CITY COUNCIL AND THE UNIVERSITY-BUSINESS FOUNDATION
UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology participates in T-Place To be, a project developed by the Madrid City Council in collaboration with the University-Business Foundation (FUE), which aims to position the capital as an example of innovation and educational and multicultural excellence at European level.
As part of the actions carried out to develop this initiative and attract the best national and international talent to the city, a series of working groups have been created in which experts from various fields such as technology, engineering, literature and the university environment have the opportunity to exchange opinions, ideas and knowledge on different topics of interest.
In this sense, Juan Cayón, Rector Magnificent of UDIT, has been invited to participate as a speaker in one of the round tables organised within the framework of the project in which, in order to advance in the work of converting Madrid into a technological hub and to weave a network of talent of reference at European level, various topics of interest have been discussed, debating on effective strategies to identify, attract and retain excellence and talent in the city.
In addition, during the session, the competitiveness of Madrid on a global level was also discussed, as well as the areas in which it should work to strengthen it in comparison with other leading cities in education and innovation.
The agreement between the Madrid City Council and the University-Business Foundation will run until the end of 2024 and has various working groups in which other representatives of the University have participated and will participate, such as Doctor José Luis Olazagoitia, Vice-Rector of Research at UDIT; Verónica Meléndez, Director of International Relations and Institutional Accreditation at UDIT or Javier Sanz, Director of the Degree in Product Design at UDIT and President of DIMAD (Madrid Designers Association), promoting both the field of design and technology.
