Biodesign Challenge: Smartincircles biomaterials workshop

The Innovation Hub of the Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, hosted last Monday 24th March at 13:00 a practical workshop on the manufacture and use of biomaterials, by Smartincircles, within the framework of the Biodesign Challenge, the international initiative that combines design, science and biotechnology to promote innovative and sustainable solutions.

Organised by the Degree in Product Design, in this workshop, Sandra Martín Simón, founder of Smartincircles, led the exploration of biomaterials, focusing on biopolymers and biocomposites. In addition, during the session, participants learned how to work with local resources to develop materials that have multiple practical applications.
