A comfortable and informal meeting point to sit down. A relaxing environment in which to stop and recharge your batteries.

The main lounge of the 53rd edition of Casa Decor is the perfect example of how to transform a space through the power of paint. This has been the new creative challenge faced by the students of the four courses of the Degree in Interior Design at ESNE: to design and build the space for Procolor.

A project that the future interior designers have been working on for weeks with their involvement in all phases of the process. "Casa Decor is the biggest interior design event in Spain. Designing and building a space puts the students in contact with the reality of their sector. It not only helps them to apply their classroom knowledge, but also to prepare for future challenges and to interact with the most important design professionals and brands," says María Antón-Barco, project coordinator and director of the Interior Design Degree at ESNE.

The school's digital fabrication laboratory has provided the space with a technological dimension by manufacturing a wall of samples of different materials machined with a laser cutter. The elements that complete the space, such as the large-format vase, were printed using the most advanced 3D technology.

The space has counted on the collaboration of ACTIU (central piece of furniture) FLUVIA (luminaires) SIMON (lighting mechanisms) FINSA (sample wall material) VIVES CERÁMICA (ceramic flooring) NMC (mouldings) and EL PRESENTE PERFECTO (original screen prints).

Lobby Palo de Rosa | Espacio Procolor by ESNE

We are not aware of the power of painting to transform the spaces in which we live and work. This project was born out of the desire to transmit the changing capacity of light and colour in our homes and its therapeutic power.

The lighting regulation system allows us to experience the changes in our perception of colours through a powerful path of light.

The tone chosen for the Procolor space is rosewood: subtle, warm, inspired by the tactile qualities of natural wood and leather, providing comfort and calm in an increasingly fast-paced world.

The combination of lighting, textures, colours and shapes transforms this lobby into a relaxing environment in which to stop and recharge your batteries. A comfortable and informal meeting point thanks to the modular elements of the central piece of furniture, its simple design and friendly aesthetics invite you to sit down.
