Credit Recognition and Validation
If you are thinking of redesigning your career, there is still time to do it. Request your validation study without obligation.
Validation study
Every year, UDIT welcomes students from different degrees who have decided to seek a change in their academic career.
UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, recognises the credits passed in other qualifications such as other University Degrees, Higher Level Training Cycles, or any official university qualification as long as all the conditions for this are fulfilled.
Now could be your moment.
Take the plunge and apply for your credit recognition study without obligation. We will inform you of the validation that we can apply according to your studies.
Credit Recognition
This consists of the acceptance by UDITof the credits passed by the student in Official Higher Education or University Education, as long as the established requirements are met.
Any prospective studentwho has access to official bachelor's degree studies and is inpossession of or has taken and passed official higher education or university studies can apply for a Credit Recognition study:
- Undergraduate university degrees.
- Bachelor's Degrees or equivalent (Diplomas, Graduates or Architects).

The deadline for applying for the Credit Recognition Study and submitting the academic documentation indicated in the previous section is from the beginning of the admission period for the next academic year until the last working day of September of the current year.
Once the Application for Credit Recognition Study and the academic documentation required to do so have been submitted, the Academic Committeewill prepare a "Preliminary Study" without administrative validity, with information on the credits that could be recognised.
The "Preliminary Study" will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the Application for Credit Recognition Study.
For this "Preliminary Study" to become binding and therefore the transfer and recognition of credits on the student's academic transcript, the student must meet the following requirements:
- To have taken and passed the Admission Tests established by UDIT.
- To have received the Letter of Admission for the academic year in which he/she is going to enrol.
- To have formalised the enrolment at administrative and academic level, enrolling for a minimum of 30 credits, excluding those that can be recognised.
- Accept the Preliminary Study formally and in personat the Academic Secretary's Office , by means of the student's signature.
Once these requirements have been met, the Academic Committee will certify that the student meets the established requirements (admission, enrolment, documentation, etc.) and will draw up the Binding Report on Credit Recognition.
The student will be notified by the Academic Committee of the existence of the Binding Report so that it can be accepted by the Academic Secretary's Office and possible modifications can be made to the official enrolment for the current academic year.
When the Binding Credit Recognition Report is accepted by the student and the transfer of credits is made in the official academic transcript, the student is exempt from taking the corresponding subject recognised in the Degree enrolled at UDIT.
The subject recognised in the current Degree will be graded with the numerical grade provided by the subject for which it is recognised in the Official Academic Certification of the centre of origin.
If there is no numerical grade in the Official Academic Certification, in the Official Academic Record of the UDIT Degree, it will appear as recognised but without a numerical grade, which means that it will not be included in the final average grade.
For economic purposes, the student may benefit from a discount of up to seventy-five percent of the value of the recognised credits, having to pay the remaining amount. UDIT reserves the right to exclude this clause in certain programmes. Please consult your advisor.
