The lecture The World of Balenciaga: Reconstructing the Spanish Contribution to the 1974 Exhbition .
Daniele Gennaioli, researcher, lecturer and coordinator of the Fashion Department at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has actively participated in the 2nd International Congress on Cristóbal Balenciaga, held in Getaria (Guipúzcoa) on 2 and 3 October .
An event that seeks to promote the figure and work of the Spanish designer and which aims to be a platform for the presentation of innovative and quality research on the figure and legacy of the couturier in its many dimensions, as well as works that analyse the various biographical, cultural and professional contexts in which Balenciaga developed .
As part of this second edition, Daniele Gennaioli gave the lecture The World of Balenciaga: Reconstructing the Spanish Contribution to the 1974 Exhibition, together with Professor Tommaso Mozzati, from the Università degli Studi di Perugia .
In it, he focused on the exhibition dedicated to Balenciaga that took place in 1974 at the Palace of Libraries and Museums, organised on the basis of the previous exhibition held in 1973 at the MET in New York .
