The work of the teacher Alfredo Arias, recognised with an honourable mention in the 'Rompe con Ferrater' competition at the Museo del Traje
Nico Williams, the portrait of the Athletic Club player by Alfredo Arias, has earned Professor Alfredo Arias an Honourable Mention in the 'Rompe con Ferrater' competition organised by the Museo del Traje.
The lecturer from the Department of Audiovisual and Graphic Creation at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, was one of the six authors recognised in this competition, to which almost 200 works were submitted.
The jury, in which José Manuel Ferrater himself participated, together with the technical staff involved in the exhibition, took into account the capacity of the images to connect with the present, their composition, their creativity, their unique perspective or visual narrative, all linked to the proposals that were made in the competition rules and which are directly linked to the exhibition 'Ferrater. Photo. Fashion. Fashion. Strength'.
The UDIT lecturer, together with the authors of the other photographs awarded Honourable Mentions, took part on Tuesday 4 March in a meeting for professionals on fashion photography, held at the museum itself.
Alfredo Arias has been dedicated to photography for more than 25 years and has worked in prestigious media such as El País, Time Out, GQ, El Viajero, Esquire, Mondo Sonoro or Rolling Stone, as well as for different companies such as Apple, Netflix, Nike, MTV, Paramount, Converse, Tommy Hilfiger, Volvo or Warner.
