objectives
The Fashion, Technology and Sustainability Research Group (GUMTS) is oriented towards the research of new solutions in the fashion market, covering all aspects from the history of clothing to future applications in wearable devices that control the user's constants, always taking into account the sustainability of fabrics and production processes.
lines of research
The lines of research that form part of this research group are as follows:
Fashion: History and trends in the creative and production process. Digitalisation and 3D virtualisation of heritage.
Technology: Definition of standards for "second skin" fabrics. Sensorisation and connectivity of garments for the creation of non-intrusive wearables through smart textiles with different fields of application, such as health or education.
Sustainability: Holistic perspective of sustainability in the fashion industry.

CIRTEXCAM project. Research in disruptive recycling and eco-design technologies to accelerate textile circularity and sustainable fashion in the Community of Madrid.
