Hannun, the international firm of handcrafted and sustainable furniture and decorative items, has renewed its collaboration agreement with the Degree in Product Design of the University of Design and Technology ESNE. With this agreement, Hannun is committed to continue supporting young talent who wish to dedicate themselves to the furniture and design sector as well as to the local economy, through research, transfer, dissemination, teaching and innovation in the field of design and technology.

The agreement envisages joint communication and training activities; the promotion of expert meetings, conferences, seminars, courses and congresses; the joint search for funding for R&D&I and student internships, among other activities. The Barcelona-based company is the first furniture firm in the country to obtain B Corp certification, a recognition awarded to companies that are leaders in the transformation towards a new, more inclusive and sustainable business paradigm and oriented towards the creation of social, environmental and economic value for all their stakeholders: workers, suppliers, customers, communities, the environment and, naturally, shareholders.

Its handcrafted furniture is made from recycled and sustainably sourced wood. In addition, they use eco-friendly, toxin-free varnishes in their pieces, with packaging made from recycled and recyclable cardboard.

On the other hand, the brand has the social purpose of contributing to the creation of a fairer society, collaborating with small businesses, the economy of proximity and the work methodology, making an impact in the social and environmental area.
