Hobby Awards 2024: the entertainment and video game industry meets at UDIT

UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has been the chosen venue to host a new edition of the Hobby Awards. These awards, presented by Hobby Consolas Magazine, recognise the best video games, consoles, gaming hardware, series, films and platforms of the year 2024.

The awards gala, hosted by Javier Abad of the Henneo Group, brought together representatives of the main players in the entertainment and video game sector in Spain, such as Netflix, Disney and Playstation.

In the film category, the winners were:

Best Comedy and Animated Series: Fallout
Best Drama, Action and Horror Series: Shôgun
Best Spanish Series: La que se avecina (Season 15)
Best Series of 2024: Shôgun
Best Streaming Platform: Netflix
Best Comedy and Animated Film: Deadpool and Wolverine
Best Drama, Action & Horror Film: Dune: Part 2
Best Spanish Film: La infiltrada
Best Film of 2024: Deadpool and Wolverine

While in the video game category they have been:

Best Nintendo Switch Game: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Best Playstation Game: Astro Bot
Best Xbox Game: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Best PC Game: Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
Best Gaming PC: Lenovo
Best Gaming Accessory: LG UltraGear OLED DualMode Monitor 32GS95UE
Best Gaming Platform: PS5 / PS5 Slim / PS5 Pro
Absolute Best Game of 2024: Astro Bot
Best Company of the Year: Nintendo

Finally, the gala concluded with the presentation of a series of special awards chosen by the editorial staff of Hobby Consolas magazine, such as the Better Capitalism Special Award for OXO Museo del Videojuego; the Career Achievement Special Award for Roberto Yeste, Head of PR at PlayStation IBAM; the CEO Insider Special Award for Óscar del Moral, Director of the Southern Europe Region at PLAION and the 400th Hobby Consolas Special Award: GAME.
