Javier Sanz Cortés, President of DIMAD (Designers Association of Madrid) and Director of the Department of Product Design - UX of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has been an active part of the last meeting of the Permanent Commissions of the Forum for Madrid.

Held at the Matadero Madrid Design Centre and attended by the four vice-presidencies of the Forum (Chamber of Commerce, CEIM, El Corte Inglés and Madrid Futuro), they were able to reflect on the city's own strengths. In this way, the members present were able to share their perceptions, with the aim of creating a portrait that brings together the visions of the public and private sectors.

Javier Sanz welcomed the guests of the Forum for Madrid and introduced them to the Association and the DIMAD Foundation. He also participated in one of the round tables that took place within the framework of the Forum, together with the architect Carlos Baztán Lacasa, who was appointed Honorary Professor of UDIT at the beginning of 2025.

This meeting, in which the attendees were able to enjoy a guided tour led by the product designer Héctor Serrano, current winner of the National Design and Innovation Award, of his exhibition El viaje entremedias. 25 years connecting.

The University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) held the workshop "Neuro-environments: Redesign your space to think and learn better", given by Ivette Caldelas and Alejandro Martínez, researchers from the NEURO_COLAB group, at the Base International School. The session inaugurated the series "Neuro-Environments: Educate, Communicate and Design for a healthy brain", an initiative jointly organised by the NEURO_COLAB and GITDcom groups within the Science Week Madrid 2025.
