Juan Cayón, Rector of UDIT, travels to Mexico to meet with some of the most important universities in the Aztec country.

Dr. Juan Cayón, Rector Magnificent of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has had the opportunity to travel to Mexico with the aim of strengthening ties with different organisations in the country.

During his stay in the Aztec country, Juan Cayón has been able to stop in four of the most important cities such as Mexico City, Puebla, Guadalajara and Monterrey, having the opportunity to visit different Universities and companies.


UDIT reinforces its commitment to internationalisation

Mexico City was the first stop on Dr. Juan Cayón's visit to Mexico, where he was able to visit the Universidad Anáhuac Norte, where he was received by Blanche Helene Toefl Quiñones, Director of the Faculty of Design; the Universidad Panamericana, where he was received by Jorge Osvaldo Tandy, Coordinator of International Affairs and Head of Mobility and Agreements; Doctor Héctor Ramírez Pérez, Vice Rector of Campus; Doctor Alejandro Ordóñez, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Doctor Victoria Carreras, Director of the Data Intelligence and Cybersecurity Engineering course.

In the city of Puebla, Juan Cayón visited the Universidad Anáhuac Puebla, where he was received by Blanca Vilá, Director of the School of Architecture; Ruth García, Coordinator of Fashion Design; Jorge Esparza, Director of Engineering and Abel Tovar, Director of the School of Animation; as well as the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), where he was received by Doctor José Ramón Eguibar Cuenca, General Director; Doctor José Eduardo Espinosa Rosales, Project Coordinator; Doctor Francisco Javier Rico Báez, Mobility Coordinator; María del Carmen de la Garza, Responsible for Agreements and Aria C. Herrejón Abud, Private Secretary.

The third stop was in the city of Guadalajara, where Juan Cayón was able to meet at the Universidad Panamericana de Guadalajara with Dr. José Antonio Esquivias Romero, Rector of the University; Cecilia Corrales, Coordinator of International Affairs; Rocío Name Fernández, Director of the Bachelor of Architecture; Pilar Hernández Grageda, Director of the Bachelor of Innovation and Design; Dr. Francisco Orozco Argo, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Rafael Hernández Cázares, Director of Institutional Development. He was also able to visit the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, being received by Antonio Leaño Reyes, Rector of the University; Dr. Alfonso Petersen Farah, Vice Rector for Academic and Health Sciences; Dr. Ricardo Beltrán Rojas, Secretary General and Professor Fernando Torres de la Torre, Director of Internationalisation.

Finally, Juan Cayón was able to travel to the city of Monterrey, where he visited the Tecmilenio University, where he was received by Anabel Itzel Banda, Director of Internationalisation for Executive Careers; Perla Rodríguez, Director of Internationalisation for Professional Careers and Samira Hernández, Academic Director of Professional Careers; The University of Monterrey (UDEM), where he was received by Carlos García González, Academic Vice Rector; Carlos Basurto Meza, Vice Rector of Liaison, Effectiveness and Academic Services and Alejandra Fernández, Advisor of the Centre for Art, Architecture and Design, among others.

In this way, UDIT continues to reinforce its commitment to internationalisation, establishing and nurturing relationships that foster student mobility.

The University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) held the workshop "Neuro-environments: Redesign your space to think and learn better", given by Ivette Caldelas and Alejandro Martínez, researchers from the NEURO_COLAB group, at the Base International School. The session inaugurated the series "Neuro-Environments: Educate, Communicate and Design for a healthy brain", an initiative jointly organised by the NEURO_COLAB and GITDcom groups within the Science Week Madrid 2025.
