  • More than 60 students from UDIT's Interiors department have worked on a total of 25 projects that will be exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale.

  • The works will be exhibited alongside projects by students from the School of Visual Arts in New York.

More than 60 students from the third and fourth year of the Bachelor in Interior Design and the Degree in Interior Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, are exhibiting alongside students from the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York as part of the Venice Architecture Biennale.

Open to the public from 10 May, the exhibition space, Migrant Housing, hosts a total of 56 proposals, designed by UDIT students as well as SVA students. All of them received the same briefing to work on their proposals, so that the results could reflect numerous ways of seeing and understanding design.

The 56 models that make up the exhibition space respond to the message "water as a means of healing", interpreted by the students in many different ways, and to strategies for the reuse and recycling of water, as well as raising awareness of the responsible use of water. In this way, minimalist proposals can be seen, in contrast to projects that play with all kinds of elements such as arches, levels, curved shapes reminiscent of water...

The space in which UDIT and SVA students are exhibiting at the Venice Architecture Biennale can be visited at the Palazzo Bembo from 10 May to 23 November.
