Masterclass by Rafael Arce: "AI from an executive perspective. Impact on the company and the media".

On Tuesday 15 October, UDIT was visited by Rafael Arce, Head of IT Architecture and Innovation at Unidad Editorial, who gave the masterclass: "AI from an executive perspective. Impact on the company and the media".

In this session, which was held in the Auditorium, Rafael Arce explored with students the current landscape of artificial intelligence, focusing on recent developments in large-scale language models (LLM).

In addition, the expert discussed how this emerging technology is transforming the business environment, with a particular emphasis on its impact on the media and content creation industry, examining the ethical, social, economic and technical implications of this technological revolution.

The conference, open to all interested students of the University, was the starting point of the 2nd edition of UDIT's Official Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence.

Multidisciplinary teams, new products and means of communication

Rafael Arce, a Computer Engineer, is Head of IT Architecture and Innovation at Unidad Editorial, publisher of the renowned newspapers El Mundo, Marca, Expansión and magazines such as Telva and Yo Dona, as well as a large number of online sites and portals.

He has worked in the technical department with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, graphic designers, journalists, economists, data analysts, etc.) in the creation of new products and the improvement of all production processes related to the media.
