Masterclass by Sam Ortí: Stop-Motion
- Date10 May 2024
- Schedule16:00
Last Friday 10th May, the Stop-Motion specialist Sam Ortí visited the Design and Creative Industries Campus of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology.
In this session organised by the Degree in Animation and held in the Aula Chillida (Avda. Alfonso XIII building), Sam Ortí spoke about stop-motion, a technique of movement with characters and objects created and modelled with putty, plasticine and various materials that allows you to create animations frame by frame.
Sam Ortí is one of the most interesting personalities on the Spanish stop-motion scene. After starting out working with Pablo Llorens and participating in different projects by Juan Pablo Etcheverry and Aardman, his personality emerged when he created the production company Conflictivos Production in Valencia, where he made several short films such as "Encarna", "Hermético", "El ataque de los Kriters asesinos" and "Werepig", to which he imprinted a very particular stamp and sense of humour and with which he won a multitude of international awards.
