Beyond the idea of sustainability: prospects for development in the fashion industry

On Tuesday 19 November, the Multipurpose Space (Calle Colombia building) of the Design and Creative Industries Campus of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology hosted the round table Beyond the idea of sustainability: prospects for development in the fashion industry.

This session, organised by the Fashion area of the University within the framework of Madrid Mes Textil, was attended by textile designer and weaver Lala de Dios and students Jules Kapturzak, Mercedes Arévalo, Lúa Pulido, Catalina Aguirre and they spoke about the strategy that is being generated around the Sustentare project, as well as the future avenues of development that are being seen in the textile industry in terms of sustainability and materials.

The Association for Textile Creation (ACT) has organised this event in which the protagonist is the textile, in the form of talks, demonstrations, workshops, courses, guided tours, markets and round tables, in which the largest possible number of actors in the sector can be involved, such as academic institutions, shops, galleries, studios, associations, workshops...
