From 7 to 14 November, the Campus of Design and Creative Industries of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, celebrates the Science and Innovation Week 2025 of the Community of Madrid, with a programme that has neuroscience, artificial intelligence and the impact of design in our daily lives as its main axes

The first day, Thursday 7 November, will host the interdisciplinary workshop "Deciding in the digital fog: Ethical communication in neurodegenerative diseases", given by Dr. Bárbara Castillo. The session, which will be held from 10:00 to 12:30, will address the risks of disinformation on social networks and its impact on public health. Through the analysis of viral content, critical reflection and the creation of ethical campaigns on diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or ALS, participants will explore the role of responsible communication in digital health contexts

The workshop will include a round table discussion with the participation of María Beltrán, principal investigator of the NEURO-COLAB Group; Lilian Velazco Furlong, clinical psychologist and lecturer at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC); and Bárbara Castillo, principal investigator of the GITDCom Group

On 11, 12 and 13 November, from 16:00 to 20:00, and on 14 November, from 12:00 to 16:00, the Campus Multipurpose Space will host the interactive workshop "DataHomeLab. The room of the future II", directed by Rosa Barrero. This activity proposes to transfer the generative artificial intelligence of the digital environment to the physical world through the creation of smart home environments, and invites reflection on how AI transforms everyday experience and redefines the relationship between people and objects

Also on Thursday 14 November, from 12:00 to 14:00, Dr. María Beltrán will give the lecture "Styles that leave their mark: How architecture affects our brain". Using historical and current examples, the session will analyse how architectural styles influence people's spatial and emotional perception, especially in the well-being and orientation of those suffering from neurodegenerative diseases

The Science Week programme at UDIT's Design and Creative Industries Campus will culminate on the same day with a guided tour of the Campus's Smart Textiles and Biomaterials research laboratories (14:30 to 15:30), where attendees will be able to learn about innovative and sustainable projects
