  • Students of the Degree in Fashion Design present their autumn-winter 2023-2024 collection at the 77th edition of the Madrid catwalk show.
  • The fashion show was held at the Real Fábrica de Tapices.

Madrid, 15 February 2023.

The students of the last year of the Degree in Fashion Design at ESNE, University of Design and Technology, were present with their collections at the new edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Under the name "Paranoia", 39 young designers showed their work in a fashion show that took place on 14 February in the incomparable setting of the Real Fábrica de Tapices, a space that evokes tradition and makes us reflect on the evolution of industrial processes.

The "Paranoia" collection is based on the artistic trend of "feísmo", understood as the rupture with the classical aesthetic canons and the vindication of the established. Each of the students presented three designs on the catwalk in which they showed their vision of current issues such as mental illness, the consumption of narcotic substances or the aesthetics of the new urban tribes.

It is a conceptual work that has given rise to a great variety of contrasting silhouettes, thanks to which the students have created an imaginary full of textures generated by experimental textile manipulations, combined with artisan techniques such as natural dyeing, crochet or felting.

The colour palette fuses the neutral tones of the darkest range, especially black and navy blue, with points of colour in which various shades such as purple, fuchsia and orange predominate.

The designers of "Paranoia" are:

Ana Sánchez Martínez, Adrián Bayarri Ballester, Juan Carlos Barragán Sanz, Antonio Joaquín Navarro Ferrández, Carmen Murillo Moreno, María Paz Jiménez Cuesta, Antía López Ferrero, Antonio del Canto Venegas, Sara Escalante Ocampo, Juan Rodríguez Sancho, Mario Guillén Martín, Marina Winternitz López, Aida Tadevosyan Mirakyan, María González Alonso, Angélica Zhang Wen, Fran Gómez Ratia, Ángela Corrales Mateo, Irene Colmenarejo, Albert Dejond Ricci, Paula García Romero, Lucía Rubio Rodríguez, Cecilia Romero Llamas, Carolina Palacios López, Beatriz Rueda Leal, Nuria Lozano López, Carlos Quesada González, Mateo Millet Mora, Beatriz Morillas Bravo, Laura Varela Rodríguez, Lucía Centeno Sánchez, Blanca Díaz-Guerra García, Mariuxi Noemi Toapanta Chachalo, Jaydy Li Chen, Paula García Pérez, Elisabeth Piqueres Soria, Claudia Pintado Morales, Andrea Cuenca Sánchez-Seco, Ana Serra Gutiérrez, Carlota de Francisco Jiménez.
