Issue 3 of UDIT's Gender, Design and Innovation research journal published
The monograph, coordinated by researchers from the Complutense University of Madrid, analyses the role of women in animation, illustration and video games.
The Design, Visual Culture and Gender Research Group(Genius) of the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) has published issue 3 of the scientific journal Gender, Design and Innovation (ISSN-e 3045-5855), available in open access on its editorial platform. This monographic issue, entitled Women in animation, illustration and video games, is coordinated by Dr. María del Carmen Pérez González, researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid and leader of the group Drawing and knowledge: interdisciplinary studies on artistic techniques and practices.
The volume brings together contributions by researchers from various Spanish universities, offering a critical and necessary look at the presence, visibility and contribution of female creators in the fields of animation and video games. The articles included analyse both individual trajectories and sectorial trends, consolidating the journal as an academic space of reference on gender and design.
