Which baccalaureate do you need to study Fashion Management and Communication?

If you want to start training in Fashion Management and Communication, we tell you what baccalaureate you need to have studied to be able to access the official degree in Fashion Management and Communication and what it consists of.

Is it necessary to have previous specific training?

No, if you want to study the Degree in Fashion Management and Communication you can do itwithout having to have studied a specific baccalaureate, you must meet the access requirements set out in art.3 of Royal Decree 412/2014, nor have prior knowledge on aspects such as fashion marketing, fashion communication, business strategy ... All our Bachelor's Degrees start from scratch, so it is not necessary to take a specific type of bachelor's degree that trains you in these areas.

Although it is true that, due to the type of degree, it is recommended to take a bachelor's degree in arts, you do not have to worry about your previous training to make the most of our degrees.

What will you learn in the Official Degree in Fashion Management and Communication?

The Degree in Fashion Management and Communication at UDIT is an official 4-year degree, in which you will work on all the areas that make up this discipline: management, communication and marketing focused on the fashion sector. 

During the first year of the degree, you will learn the keys to fashion management, marketing and communication (journalism and criticism), understanding the global phenomenon of fashion, both from a historical and sociological point of view. You will also begin to familiarise yourself with the workings of the fashion industry and the importance of sustainability.

During the second year, you will acquire a mastery of digital tools for communication (design, video, composition, retouching...) and the keys to understanding brand communication. You will also begin to study trends, market research, psychology, consumer behaviour and the impact on the environment

In the third year, you will develop a fashion film, you will be professionally trained in fashion photography, styling and art direction. You will experience how to successfully communicate a collection created by your own Design colleagues within the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week calendar, and you will understand how retail and luxury marketing works.

The final year will be the final step towards your entry into the job market, specialising in strategic marketing management, marketing plans, on and offline communication and window dressing.

Do you want to know if this degree is for you?

This degree is for you if you are a person with a special sensitivity for fashion, but at the same time with an interest in communication and marketing. You have a passion for communication and an interest in fashion and you don't know how to merge the two.

What will you be able to do?

You will be able to work in three main areas: communication and marketing, art and design and management and consultancy.

In communication and marketing you will be able to work as a fashion editor, communication director, marketing manager, social media manager, public relations, content manager, communication department, publicist, among others.

In art and design , you can work as a showroom manager, event and fashion show producer and director, visual merchandiser, creative director, stylist, among others.

In management and consultancy, you can work as a product manager, quality or sustainability controller, brand manager, retail manager, eccomerce manager, trend consultant, fashion & retail buyer, among others.

Degree in Fashion Management and Communication at UDIT

You will be trained at the leading university in higher education in Fashion, being the first to create and offer this university degree in Spain. 

The curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Management and Communication is a specialised and up-to-date programme, where you will learn the tools, programmes and trends of the moment in the fashion sector .

In addition, you will be able to build an attractive and competitive profile if you decide to study this degree in bilingual mode (Spanish/English). In each course of the Bachelor in Fashion Management and Communication, 60% of the teaching will be in English and the remaining 40% in Spanish.

At the University of Design, Innovation and Technology you will be able to live unique experiences by participating in workshops, events and festivals, as well as workshops and masterclasses organised by the university. UDIT organises About Fashion: Meetings and Experience of Fashion Companies and Communication where students come into contact with leading professionals and companies in the fashion communication and management sector.
