What subjects does the Fashion Design degree include?

Fundamentals of design and pattern making

Subjects such as Fundamentals of Design, in the first year, or Dressmaking and Patternmaking, which you will see throughout the first two years of your degree, will allow you to acquire the most basic knowledge of fashion design.

Thanks to them, you will learn how to create patterns for different garments and how to choose between different materials and textures depending on the effect and sensations you want to create. It has always been said that "fashion is cyclical", and although it is true that almost all trends end up coming back, what you really get from subjects such as History of Art and Clothing I and II or Sociology and Fashion Trends is the knowledge you need to give birth to your own personality.

Thanks to them, and many others, you will discover what the trends in fashion have been over the decades and, more importantly, how historical and cultural contexts have influenced trends and how you can benefit from them.
