ESNE has once again been chosen as the place of reference to hold a breakfast round table focused on new technologies. On this occasion, the Spanish Association of Shopping Centres and Parks (AECC) wanted to hold a meeting at the largest university campus of Design and Technology in Spain with Mar González Franco, Dr. Research Scientist at Google USA.After the words of welcome from the director of the AECC, Beatriz Vidal, and those of the Academic Director of the University of Design and Technology, Luis Calandre, Vidal gave way to the conference "Virtual reality, augmented reality and metaverse", given by Mar González Franco, a world reference in the study of these new technologies, which brought the attendees closer to the new technological realities that are making their way into everyone's lives.Once her speech was over, Daniel Rubio, Senior Digital Strategy Lead at Google, took over from her colleague and, afterwards, González Franco held a talk with David del Val, Senior Economist in the International Economics and Markets team at CaixaBank Research, where the Navarre native highlighted the high quality of the talent of Spanish professionals in the field of science and technology, in comparison with other countries. This last intervention also gave rise to an interesting question and answer dynamic with the audience.Mar González Franco was awarded in 2022 with the prize to the novelresearcher in virtual reality of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the most important international non-profit organisation in the world, formed by professionals of new technologies, and responsible for many of the technological standards that we use every day.
