Gabriela Riera, a student of the Degree in Audiovisual Design and Illustration, and Camilla del Prado, a student of the Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, have won first and second prize respectively in the latest edition of the Versiona Thyssen competition.
This initiative, promoted by the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of Madrid and the fashion firm Uniqlo, invites young creators and creatives from all over the world to reinterpret works from the museum's collection.
"VACIO" - The work by Gabriela Riera, winner of the first prize, eliminates the characters and tries to give a sense of emptiness and serenity in this reinterpretation of "The Last Supper".
"METANOIA" - This is a reinterpretation of Alexander Exter's "Still Life" by Camilla del Prado. With this version, the student seeks to update the work with a collage of real objects, seeking balance in the composition through an edition inspired by cubism.
In addition to winning second prize in the 18th edition of Versiona Thyssen, the student will have the opportunity to see her design printed on a T-shirt thanks to winning the prize promoted by Uniqlo as a collaborator in this edition of the competition.
