The spaces and common areas of the new UDIT building in Calle Colombia 44 have been designed by exceptional interior designers.

Elena Fernández and Mirian Palacios, Interior Design alumni and founders of the design studio Senda Interiorismo, were selected a few months ago to carry out the ambitious project of choosing, designing and placing the furniture, as well as styling the space as a whole.

Elena and Miriam's main focus was to make the students feel at home when entering the new UDIT building, as it becomes the space where students spend a significant part of their academic training and professional development.

To achieve this feeling of warmth and welcome, the creators of Senda Interiorismo opted for warm and pleasant colours that convey a welcoming atmosphere, without being strident and in tune with the new image of the university. The choice of colours and shades was carefully planned to create an environment conducive to learning and creativity.

The furniture was selected with a focus on lightness and visual cleanliness, taking advantage of organic shapes that fit harmoniously with the characteristic style of Senda Interiorismo. The intention was to create spaces that invite study and collaboration, encouraging interaction between students and academic staff.

In addition, Elena and Miriam paid special attention to the choice of resistant and high quality materials, taking into account the high traffic that the furniture would have at the university's headquarters. Fabrics were selected that are pleasant to the touch, but at the same time offer exceptional durability, guaranteeing optimal maintenance of the space over time.

The central aim of the project was to capture the significant change that the university has undergone, transforming from ESNE to UDIT, and to communicate this through the new aesthetics. In this sense, the designers strived to capture the essence of the institution in every detail of the design, highlighting the spirit of innovation, creativity and academic excellence that characterises the university.

UDIT's new headquarters at 44 Colombia Street is now a space that reflects the identity of the institution and promises to provide an inspiring and welcoming environment for the student and academic community. The talent and passion of the alumni have left a lasting imprint on the heart of the university.
