Beatrice Elena Grünwall and Pablo Ramírez, final year students on the Interior Design Degree, have won second and third place, respectively, in the international FORM Student Innovation Awards organised by Formica.
The high-pressure laminate company launched a challenge in 2021, in which students had to design an attractive and adaptable post-COVID environment.
Häärnett, Beatrice's proposal, is a sleek and sophisticated hair salon project divided into two zones, one more private and one more public. The most outstanding aspect of the interior is the ergonomics and the careful logistics of the space, achieved thanks to the furniture being designed with absolute precision.
For his part, Pablo Ramírez decided to rethink the spatial design of one of the second-hand clothing and accessories shops in the centre of Madrid, Magpie.
The student created a conceptual space, in which the different pieces are not divided by areas according to gender, but by experiences, opening up the customer's mind and not limiting them when it comes to buying and enjoying fashion.
Both students had the opportunity to present their project to the brand itself at the UDIT, University of Design and Technology, and to receive their respective awards from Pedro Crespo, Prescription Director; Gema Bonilla, Marketing Manager and Sara Simarro, Specification Sales Manager.
