The projects of UDIT students continue to stand out wherever they go. This is the case of the Atacama Chair, designed by Borja Gomendio and the Rubra Table, designed by Livia de Prado, Natasha París and Paula Varela, students of the Degree in Product Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology .
Both projects have won awards at the SIT Furniture Design Award 2023, held at the imposing KKL Luzern, Lucerne's Culture and Congress Centre, an international award that recognises the creativity and innovative vision of furniture designers.
The Rubra Table, born of the motto "slow furniture for fast change", is a project developed in wood and inspired in trees, their environment and their different shapes and textures, and has won in the "Living room furniture" category.
In turn, the Atacama Chair by Borja Gomendio, a work that combines the hardness and firmness of iron with the delicacy of braided macramé thread, has won first prize in the "Outdoor Chair" category.
