The final year student of the Degree in Fashion Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, Sofía Labrador, has had the opportunity to design a personalised jacket for the Delegate of Culture, Tourism and Sport of Madrid City Council, Marta Rivera de la Cruz.
A project inspired by the Puerta de Alcalá, one of the most emblematic monuments of the city of Madrid, and which takes the form of a jacket. Through a composition made with photographic cut-outs, the student has printed a complete image of the monument as a border on the hem, front, sleeves and back.
The material chosen for the design of the jacket was an orange cotton twill, a fabric that makes this mid-season garment lightweight and also allows the volume of the design to be maintained.
Marta Rivera de la Cruz wore the young designer's design during the City Medals award ceremony on 15 May.
