Brigida Coromoto

B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the UCV in cooperation with the LIP6 Laboratory of the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France.

Post-doctorate at the University of Sciences and Technologies of Lille, France. With more than 35 years of teaching experience, in subjects in the area of Applied Mathematics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at UCV and at private universities in Lima, Peru and Madrid, Spain.

She has been invited to teach courses at the Universidad de los Andes, Venezuela, at the XVII Congreso Colombiano de Matemáticas, Bucaramanga, Colombia and at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina.

As a researcher she has participated in more than 30 conferences and has published 20 articles in national and international journals in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. She has done research internships in Computer Science and/or Numerical Analysis laboratories at Universities in Argentina, Spain and France.

He has participated in numerous research projects, funded by organisations such as the Council for Scientific and Technological Development of the Central University of Venezuela (CDCHUCV), the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICIT) of Venezuela, Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the European Economic Community, ECOS NORD.

She has also carried out academic-administrative and managerial tasks at the Central University of Venezuela, including the position of Director of the School of Computer Science at the University.
