UDIT celebrates the III edition of About Fashion, its Fashion Communication Week

More than 500 attendees and ten speakers representing some of the most prominent firms, companies and media in the national fashion sector participated in About Fashion, the third edition of the conference organised by the Degree in Fashion Management and Communication at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology.

For the third consecutive year, UDIT has held this meeting between professionals and students, dedicated to fashion communication, whose objective is to share knowledge and explore the different experiences of the participants with the young people of the institution.

The designers Fabio Encinar and Nacho Aguayo, the artist Lulú Figueroa and the model and businesswoman Laura Sánchez took part in the third edition of About Fashion.

For two days, the UDIT University Campus breathed fashion thanks to the participation of some of the most important representatives of the fashion communication and management sector.

The III edition of About Fashion was opened by UDIT Fashion Department professor Daniele Gennaioli, who introduced the figure of Aline Romanones, first correspondent of VOGUE USA in Spain and Countess of Romanones to the attendees, The round table was moderated by student Lucía Salazar and also included designer Fabio Encinar, artist Lulú Figueroa and Cristina Figueroa of the Aline Condesa viuda de Romanones Foundation, both granddaughters of the honoree.

The first day also featured the participation of Nacho Aguayo, Creative Director of Pedro del Hierro and María Sañudo, Marketing and Communication Director of Pedro del Hierro, who explained how to work to give shape to the 50th anniversary of such a prestigious firm with such a long history as Pedro del Hierro.

The second day featured the participation of Adriana González-Espaliu, Design Director of Castañer, who spoke about the influence of this Spanish firm on international fashion design; Arancha González, Commercial Director of the magazine ¡HOLA! who focused her speech on the importance of brands for the media; Beatriz Diego, Strategy Director of INTERBRAND, who spoke about brand strategy and where brands need to be taken in order to achieve their goals; and model and entrepreneur Laura Sánchez, who gave an inspiring talk about her professional career.
