UDIT, the University of Design, Innovation and Technology, held a new edition of Match in Games, the UDIT Entrepreneurship and Employment Fair in Video Games, on Thursday 5 June.

Match in Games was created with the aim of creating an ecosystem to showcase the talent of UDIT students, as well as to give visibility to the creative proposals developed. Thus, at the Fair, students of the Official University Degree in Design and Development of Video Games and Virtual Environments and the Higher Level Training Cycle in 3D Animation, Games and Interactive Environments had the opportunity to connect with companies in the sector, to whom they presented their Final Degree Project and their Final Cycle Project, respectively.

María Yolanda Estrada Madrid, Councillor President of the Chamartín District, was also present at the inauguration of the Fair, who was interested in the different proposals of the UDIT students and was able to get to know them up close. She had the opportunity to try out some video games and talk to the students themselves, who explained their projects first hand.

In this edition, a total of 40 students have developed the 11 projects presented: DustyWound: Broken & Discovered, by Inca Games; Echoes of the Void, by Echoes of the Void; El Camino de Geraldo, by Tres Bravas Team; Gloria, by Espazioko Zaindariak; Kelpie, by DevSurvivors; Medical Simulator by BRANN; Paradox Rift by Lost Paradox; Patata Caliente by Wild Alchemists; Starlit VS by Damocle'Sword; Tailless by Int2Games; and ZEP by ArrecifeGames.

In addition, as part of the fair, attendees were able to attend an interesting round table, in which alumni of the University discussed the opportunities and the job market they find after completing their studies.

The day, which included various networking spaces, ended with the awards ceremony, in which the ArrecifeGames team, with its video game ZEP, won the jury's first prize, followed by DevSurvivors with Kelpie and, in third place, Wild Alchemists with Hot Potato. The latter also won the audience award, while El Camino de Geraldo, from the Tres Bravas Team, won the Steam award.
