UDIT collaborates in the 5th edition of the Game Jam Madrid Crea organised by DEV and the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

  • Ten days will be available to develop games centred on the myths and legends of the Community of Madrid. With reference to historical characters or urban legends.
  • In this fifth edition, a face-to-face modality is offered, which will give access to UDIT's facilities and equipment for 3 days. It also includes a guided tour of the city of Madrid exploring its myths and legends.
  • The jam is organised by DEV and the Consejería de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte de la Comunidad de Madrid and counts with the collaboration of UDIT as the on-site venue of the Jam.


The fifth edition of the Game Jam Madrid Crea, an initiative organised by DEV (Spanish Association of Video Game and Entertainment Software Producers and Developers) and the Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Community of Madrid, begins on Friday 3 November.

Participants have 10 days - until Sunday 12 November - to develop games focusing on a cultural, tourist, historical or natural aspect of the Madrid Region. In addition, the special theme of this edition will be myths and legends, which can be interpreted as a relevant character of the Community or as urban legends of some of its buildings, characters or historical places.

The jam will have two modalities, online and on-site. The on-site modality will be held in Madrid at the headquarters of UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, which opens its doors from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 November.

In addition, on Friday 3 November there will be an opening ceremony at the headquarters of UDIT organised by DEV and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Community of Madrid, followed by a guided tour that will include bus transport from the university to the centre of Madrid to begin a walking tour of the myths and legends of the region.

During the following week, the different teams will have to interpret the theme, creating video games that will be uploaded to the Itch.io platform.

The projects best rated by a group of specialists in the sector will be featured in a physical exhibition that will be organised in the Sala Alcalá 31 in Madrid in the coming months.all the information and registration form is available on the official Itch.io page of the Game Jam.
