UDIT participates as a collaborating entity in Interihotel BCN25

UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, will be part of Interihotel, as a collaborating entity, for the third consecutive year . 

Considered as the largest design event for hotels and restaurants, the BCN25 edition will be held at Fira de Barcelona on 21, 22 and 23 October. On this occasion, the edition will focus on The Power of Encounters, vindicating design as a space for connecting ideas, cultures and business models . 

Aimed at architects, interior designers, brands and hotel operators from all over the world, more than 10,000 national and international professional visitors are expected to attend this edition, and so far the organisers have confirmed more than 180 speakers and more than 300 exhibiting brands.

The programme will be divided into three main themes: Tuesday 21 October will focus on Cultural encounters, or how design can preserve the identity of a destination; Wednesday 22 October will focus on Sustainable encounters, or how design, materials and business strategies can generate a positive impact;And finally, on Thursday 23 October, the main theme will be The business of encounters, or how collaborations between designers, hoteliers and investors influence business models. 

Xperience Lab, a space for discovery and experimentation 

Interihotel BCN25 will once again feature Xperience Lab, a space for attendees to discover the emerging technologies that are transforming the design of products and spaces in the hospitality sector. 

Within this area, there will be GenDesign 5.0, an environment made up of interactive digital totems where visitors can generate interior design scenes and product proposals, combining creative inputs and real data. The VERSUS Research Group of UDIT has collaborated in the design and development of these totems with Artificial Intelligence, which could already be seen in the previous edition of Interihotel .
