UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, is the leader in Interior Design university education in Spain. In fact, it was the first academic institution in the country to offer this Official University Degree, becoming the place for all those who found their true vocation in interior design.

Currently, UDIT not only offers the Official University Degree in Interior Design, but also the Bachelor in Interior Design and the Official University Master in Interior Design, perfect for students coming from other fields to deepen their knowledge in this area and specialise in it.

More than 15 years training interior designers

UDIT was born from a firm commitment to the creation of an educational environment specialising in the field of design and technology. A pioneering commitment, which set it apart from other universities at the time and is now reflected in its extensive experience in a booming economic sector such as interior design.

Over almost 20 years, UDIT has trained professionals who, today, are part of prestigious studios, where they develop all the knowledge acquired at the University and give it shape, creating projects for individuals as well as for the hotel industry, public bodies and large corporations.

An unbeatable environment

UDIT's International Campus of Design and Creative Industries is home to students of the Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Interior Design. More than 13,000 m2 of facilities with the most innovative technology, always within reach of the students.

An example of this, which applies directly to Interior Design students, are the Maker Lab laboratories where they can develop their prototypes and give shape to their projects with the help of the University's teaching and technical staff. A safe environment, in which they have all the necessary machinery that allows them to put into practice what they have learned in the classrooms, which are also equipped with the latest generation equipment.

Working on real projects

UDIT offers a completely up-to-date and demanding training in Interior Design, based on a learning by doing methodology. The University understands that the practical part is fundamental, not only to apply everything learned in the theoretical part, but also to develop all kinds of soft skills and build a portfolio even before the end of the student stage. This translates into a lighter, easier and more satisfying landing in the world of work.

The students also work on real projects, with briefings from prestigious companies such as Porcelanosa, Pilma, JYSK or La Paloma. In this way, they have to face professional challenges from the very first course, whether they become part of a studio or go their own way.

A decade exhibiting at CASA DECOR

One of the real projects on which the students of the UDIT Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Interior Design are working is the University's exhibition space at CASA DECOR. UDIT has been exhibiting for ten consecutive years at what is considered the largest platform for interior design, design, trends and lifestyle in Spain.

This is an unbeatable opportunity for the students, who participate in the design and execution of a large-scale project, seeing their work exhibited on the best possible stage and, at the same time, having the chance to connect with other professionals in the sector.

Enriching experiences

For UDIT, it is essential that its students not only receive a complete, avant-garde, practical and quality education, but also that they live their stay at the University as an unforgettable experience that leaves a mark on a professional and personal level.

In this sense, in the case of the Interior Design area, all kinds of projects, activities and trips are organised to round off the training received in the classroom. A nearby example is at the Venice Architecture Biennale, where the third and fourth year students of the Interior Design Degree are exhibiting their project Migrant Housing, developed together with their counterparts from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Or the recent study trip to Copenhagen, where more than 30 students were able to get a closer look at Danish design.

Rewarding talent

Currently, the Interior Design Area at UDIT has a large number of prizes awarded to students, alumni and teachers, becoming a perfect example of the level of excellence that is part of the essence of UDIT and of the constant commitment to promoting talent. One of the most recent is the one received by Belén Sánchez, winner of the National Interior Design Award at the Mallorca Design Day with her TFG proposal Redes y Raíces, a cafeteria inspired by traditional looms, with which the alumni tries to give a new meaning to social networks and generate tangible connections.

As an institution, UDIT has also received numerous awards. This was the case in 2020 with the National Innovation and Design Award, granted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, and the Education and Training Award received at the beginning of 2025 at the Madrid Open Cities Award, both in recognition of excellence and the commitment to talent and innovation.

The University has also received the QS Stars quality certification, an international recognition of quality in higher education that evaluates different aspects, achieving 5 stars (maximum score) in the categories of employability and teaching quality.
