Held between 10 and 12 October, this benchmark event in the video game sector was attended by teachers, alumni and students from the  university .

UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has been an active part of the BCN Game Fest, held on 10, 11 and 12 October in the Catalan capital. This event, which stems from the legacy of IndieDevDay, is presented as the definitive hub where industry leaders, creative minds and innovative projects come together to shape the future of video games

The university has played an important role in this first edition, both in the panel of speakers and in the presentation of projects. Starting with Miguel Arias, professor of the Degree in Design and Development of Video Games and Virtual Environments, who gave a masterclass on pixel art, in which he reviewed tricks, methods and effective processes for creating fluid animations with personality and professional quality

Elena Flores, an alumni of the institution and Product Manager at Zynap, gave a talk focused on pitch decks, not only on how to build them, but also on their usefulness for a project, regardless of the path you want to follow: self-publishing or external funding,

Likewise, Lucía Jurado, also an alumni and representative of DEV, gave the talk Bringing Visions Together: A Shared Look at the Video Game Industry, in which she reviewed the current situation of the video game industry

A platform for UDIT talent

The BCN Game Fest is an unbeatable stage for young talents to present their projects and make them known to industry players, with the aim of obtaining funding or support in order to continue developing them

This is exactly what UDIT students have done, who have not only been able to learn first-hand about the situation of the sector, but have also had the opportunity to present their own video games, attracting the attention of industry professionals and fans
