UDIT, venue of the VII edition of the Game Jam Madrid Crea
In this edition, participants will have to develop, over a period of ten days, games inspired by The Community of Madrid through time, a scenario that invites you to travel both to the past and to the future .
UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, is once again collaborating, in this case as the official venue, with the Game Jam Madrid Crea, an event organised by DEV and the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Community of Madrid. In its seventh edition, it invites video game developers of any level to create original digital experiences that highlight the cultural, historical, tourist and natural richness of the scenery offered by the Community of Madrid.
The Game Jam will start next Friday 17 September, with an opening ceremony that will take place at the Design and Creative Industries Campus of UDIT at 17:00. This will be followed by a guided tour that will include a bus transfer from the university itself to the Museum of History of Madrid. There, attendees will be able to enjoy a unique experience of travelling through time and be inspired for their creations .
In its seventh edition, the thematic proposal is The Community of Madrid through time, a scenario that invites you to rediscover the evolution not only of the capital, but also of its towns, landscapes and traditions, with the possibility of travelling both to the past and to the future .
The Game Jam Madrid Crea will have an online modality, open to participants from all over Spain, and an optional in-person modality at UDIT's facilities on 17 and 18 October .
Jury made up of professionals from the sector
Four professionals from the world of video games, including Luis Sagatibelza, coordinator of the Official Degree in Video Game Design and Development at UDIT, make up the jury that will evaluate the projects presented. Along with Luis Sagastibelza, the jury is completed by David Carrasco, CEO and co-founder of Vemilla Studio; Rocío Torrejón, journalist and content creator; and Luis Olvçan, co-founder and producer of Fictiorama Studios .
At the beginning of 2026, the presentation of the eight games best rated by the jury will be held at an event with the participation of authorities from the Community of Madrid and an international personality from the videogames sector.
