The ninth edition of the Master's Degree in User Experience for the Design of Digital Products and Services at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, has reinforced its practical and immersive approach in its annual cycle of masterclasses and visits from leading companies in the sector.

In this way, students have had the opportunity to take a tour of the trends, methodologies and real challenges of design by renowned professionals who have shared with them their vision and experience.

Thinking the future through design

The course kicked off last October with an inspiring session: Fabien Girardin, pioneering researcher in Design Fiction and partner of Near Future Laboratory, shared how anticipation, creativity and technology can converge to imagine possible futures.

"How I learned to think about the future" was the title of a masterclass that encouraged students to project from critical observation and experimentation, understanding design as a tool to provoke reflection in organisations.

In successive sessions, the experts who visited the UDIT Campus of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences emphasised how experience can become the axis of digital design.

Kike Valdenebro, partner and design director at Muskae (Good Rebels), reflected on how to connect brands and people from an ethical and humanistic approach. Through real cases, he showed how creativity and technology can be allied to generate active communities and memorable experiences.

During the meeting, Valdenebro also presented the philosophy and trajectory of Good Rebels, a company that was born more than three decades ago with the aim of breaking with the traditional agency and consultancy models.

Carmen Bravo and Alina Entwistlerepresentatives of ING's UX area, shared with the students how the user experience is structured in a high-impact corporate environment and which profiles are most in demand in an industry as competitive as the financial sector.

In a masterclass focused on the fundamentals of design, UDIT also received a visit from Daniel Torres Burriel, CEO of Torresburriel Estudio, a leading UX consultancy. During his speech, he highlighted user research and accessibility as essential pillars for building useful, inclusive and sustainable digital experiences.

The cycle of these sessions ended with a particularly active month of June. JavierPascual, founder of Singular Things, gave the students a comprehensive overview of his company, which specialises in IoT, artificial intelligence and robotics. In addition to learning about his projects and work dynamics, the students were able to learn about real options for internships and collaboration in a technological environment.

Finally, Mauricio Cedraz, Experience Design Manager at NATEEVO, gave a masterclass in which he explained the internal processes, tools and design challenges with which they work in one of the most dynamic companies in the Spanish digital ecosystem.

In short, the activities developed during this course are an example of UDIT's training model: a university committed to experiential learning and connection with the industry.
